Although we go to Hot Springs frequently, this is the first time I took the camera. Unfortunately, it was right after the only rain we've had all summer, so the French Broad River was muddy. It's usually very clear and beautiful..

 

Marshall and Shelbee didn't let the muddy water stop them, though!

There's a hiking trail at Murray Branch, and this dead, half-burned wood was found along it. It was the most interesting thing I saw on that hike. Doesn't it look almost alive?
