Tuesday, of course, is Fat Tuesday....Mardi Gras itself. We had to leave that day, but before we did, we hit the French Quarter to look at all the costumes. I wish I had more pictures from this day.

Diane wore her flaming hot bustier again, with her Homer Simpson boxer shorts. What a fashion statement!

This is a lousy picture, but these folks were dressed as all the different Absolut flavors. Great costumes!

.

We ran into Kim and Ginger while we were out.

How 'bout this wedding couple?

If you pressed the on/off button, Hello Kitty vibrated. Guess that explains the look on his face.

My favorite costumes....portable safe rooms, made of plastic sheeting and duct tape. See the canned goods taped to the walls?

This is just a shot of the crowd. I so wish I had Diane's pictures.... especially the crawfish!

This is the backyard at Diane's dad's house. I love this pond so much.

Another view of the pond.

And that's it so far.....what a fabulous time it was! I hated for it to be over, and I think I cried half the way home. But oh, the memories! Can't wait to do it again.
